THINGS TO SEE & DO

The Magnificent Mile
The section of Michigan Avenue known as The Magnificent Mile stretches for more than a dozen blocks, starting just north of the Chicago River. The famed thoroughfare features about 56 hotels and 124 restaurants, as well as three shopping malls.

Wrigley Field
Located in Chicago's North Side, the iconic Wrigley Field serves as the home to Major League Baseball's beloved Chicago Cubs. The 1914 stadium features ivy-covered brick walls, the original 1937 manual scoreboard and a rabid fan base. Games sell out quickly, so book your tickets early if you’re there during the baseball season.

Millennium Park
Millennium Park sits on 24½ acres in downtown Chicago. The park features structures produced by renowned artists, including Jaume Plensa's 50-foot tall video projecting water fountains and Frank Gehry's outdoor concert pavilion consisting of twisted metal towering 120 feet. The park offers more than 500 free events annually.

Navy Pier
Navy Pier jets out into Lake Michigan and offers more than 50 acres of family-friendly shops, restaurants and carnival rides. The pier features a 15-story Ferris wheel, an IMAX theater and a children's museum. On certain summer evenings, the pier also offers a free fireworks show.

The Art Institute of Chicago
The Art Institute of Chicago sits in the heart of downtown Chicago. The sprawling, world-renowned museum includes non-European galleries, modern American artwork and the largest Monet collection in the world. The museum features a family room equipped with interactive activities aimed to inspire and engage youngsters, while the information desk provides family guides and gallery games.

Willis Tower
The Willis Tower dominates Chicago's skyline, stretching more than 1,300 feet into the air. Located on the 103rd floor, the Skydeck provides 360 degree views of the city from atop the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Glass boxes extend out over the building's edge, giving visitors the appearance of floating on air. This iconic building was always known as the Sears Tower until 2009, when the Willis Group obtained the rights to rename it as part of their lease on a portion of its offices.

Lincoln Park Zoo
About 5 miles north of downtown Chicago, Lincoln Park Zoo remains free to the public. The zoo hosts such creatures as polar bears, African lions, giraffes, elephants and gray seals. The zoo also features a carousel and train for kids.
